Edward Perez
Edward Perez has been a private lesson instructor for New York City’s prestigious New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music as well as an ensemble instructor for the Indian Hill Music Center in Massachusetts. He has also continuously taught private lessons and ensemble classes to students of a variety of instruments. He has taught masterclasses throughout the US, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and Spain covering a vast variety of topics including but not limitted to: interaction within the jazz ensemble, how to practice improvisation, the swing feel in traditional jazz bass lines, the bass in Afro-Peruvian music, and jazz appreciation for new listeners.
